James C. Haggerty, Esq. of Philadelphia has left the Board after the expiration of his final term as a member of the Disciplinary Board. Previously, Mr. Haggerty served for six years on the Appellate Rules Committee of the Supreme Court. He was appointed to the Disciplinary Board in April 2015 and reappointed in 2018. In April 2019, he was designated by the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania as Board Vice-Chair and then in April 2020 as Disciplinary Board Chair.
During his tenure as Board Chair, Mr. Haggerty successfully led the Board through the unprecedented challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. Thanks in no small part to his steady leadership, the Disciplinary Board became a national model for the implementation of new technological practices in adapting to the obstacles of this past year. In part, Mr. Haggerty’s work as Board Chair can be found in the recently-released 2020 Annual Report.
The Board extends its most sincere gratitude to Mr. Haggerty for his years of dedicated volunteer service on the Disciplinary Board.
