Esteemed Consulting Director Reappointed to Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania

Harrisburg, Pa., (August 29, 2012) – The Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania announces the reappointment of Mr. Douglas Leonard, Director of Consulting Services with Strategic Solutions International, Inc. (SSI), to the Disciplinary Board.

The Disciplinary Board is an independent agency funded by the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, consisting of thirteen members: eleven attorneys and two non-lawyers from across the Commonwealth. It assists the Supreme Court in carrying out its exclusive jurisdiction over the licensing and discipline of attorneys in Pennsylvania. The members meet regularly to decide cases, policies and board administrative matters.

Leonard is one of two non-lawyers on the Board and offers a fresh, diverse perspective serving as a layperson. His professional experience ranges from large-scale project and employee management in both the public and private sectors to entrepreneurship and new business ventures.

“I am honored to be reappointed to a second term with the talented and dedicated group of individuals who serve on the Disciplinary Board,” said Leonard. “Utilizing my client services experience, I look forward to continuing to leverage the diversity of knowledge and expertise within the Board to maximize results for everyone we serve.”

Prior to joining SSI, Leonard served as the Court Administrator for the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County for six years. He also served five years on the Board of Directors and one year as President for the Pennsylvania Association of Court Management (PACM). Leonard’s legal background includes his work with the Pittsburgh-based law firm of Mansmann, Cindrich and Titus where he served as the Legal Administrator for three years. He also is a certified mediator.

Leonard holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Management and Economics from the University of Dayton in Ohio and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh. Additionally, he co-authored a Sports Performance Profile based on the Birkman Method in 2001, and earned his certification as a Sports Counselor through the National Institute of Sports Professionals in 2003.
