On May 5, 2000, Respondent pled guilty to two counts of making false statements to a federal agency, in violation of 18 U.S.C. §1001.
As a result of the convictions, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court placed Respondent on temporary suspension on January 23, 2002.
By Consent Order of the Immigration Court dated February 7, 2002, Respondent was suspended from practice before the Immigration Courts, the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) and the Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS), for a period of two years retroactive to March 8, 2001.
Based upon the Immigration Court’s Consent Order, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court reciprocally suspended Respondent for two years, retroactive to January 23, 2002. |
