By Order of October 6, 2009, Respondent, was disbarred by the Court of Appeals of Maryland, at Misc. Docket AG No. 67, September Term 2007. Respondent was found to have “misappropriated funds, engaged in conduct that was dishonest and deceitful and made misrepresentations, all in prejudice to the administration of justice,” in the period of 2000 through 2005, relative to financial difficulties in his law firm. Mitigation was presented but was not found to warrant a reduced sanction.
The Supreme Court of Pennsylvania issued a Notice and Order to the Respondent to inform the Court why identical or comparable discipline should not be entered in this Commonwealth, to which Mr. West did not respond. |
