Respondent was suspended from the practice of law in the State of New Hampshire for a period of six months, retroactive to March 1, 2009. Respondent signed a stipulation of facts in which he admitted that during the representation of a client,upon learning that the court had continued the final pretrial conference, Respondent requested a hearing to oppose the continuance, at which hearing Respondent, in response to a question from the clerk, informed the court that he had “released” his client upon learning that the case had been continued, when in fact Respondent had neither seen nor had any contact with the client that day prior to the hearing.
By reciprocal Order dated August 31, 2009, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court suspended Respondent from the practice of law in Pennsylvania for six months. In the Order, the Court noted that Respondent had stated that he did not oppose the imposition of reciprocal discipline
