Case Digest On May 9, 2001, Respondent was found guilty of multiple criminal charges, including five counts of Criminal Homicide, for criminal conduct that occurred on April 28, 2000. On September 6, 2001, he was sentenced to five sentences of death, plus 112 - 225 years in prison on the non-homicide convictions. On June 1, 2000, Respondent was placed on temporary suspension by Order of the Supreme Court based upon his criminal conduct. Points of Law None. In its Report, the Disciplinary Board stated that the gravity and magnitude of Respondent's crimes far exceed that which the Board has dealt with in the past. The Board also stated that Respondent's conduct is so reprehensible and outside the norms of societal convention that the only appropriate discipline is disbarment.
