Respondent was found to have been engaged in the unauthorized practice of law on 15 occasions including 11 litigation matters in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas and on 4 occasions before the Philadelphia Zoning Board of Adjustment. Respondent also was engaged in litigation in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Respondent failed to inform that court that he had been transferred to inactive status. During the period of inactive status, Respondent maintained and/or failed to take appropriate steps to remove improper telephone directory entries, which held Respondent out as an attorney licensed to practice law. Respondent agreed to consent discipline of 18 months. Respondent and ODC agreed to 3 mitigating factors (admission, timely cooperation and lack of disciplinary record) and 1 aggravating factor (failure to file annual registration statements from 2000-2001 to present and to pay the appropriate registration fees). |
