| Points of Law |
At hearing, Respondent acknowledged his drinking problem and has been regularly attending Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) to assist him in overcoming his problem and maintain his sobriety. Several members of the bar as well as one person associated with AA testified on behalf of Respondent. Other practicing attorneys testified positively regarding Respondent's legal acumen and perceived non-impairment. At the time of his conviction, Respondent was unaware of his obligation to report same to the Disciplinary Board. The Hearing Committee adopted the "Joint Proposed Disposition" developed, and agreed upon, by the Office of Disciplinary Counsel and Respondent's counsel. |
