Respondent was reciprocally disbarred for like discipline imposed by the Supreme Court of New Jersey on September 28, 2004.
The New Jersey Supreme Court entered an Order of disbarment as a result of Respondent’s violating several New Jersey Rules of Professional Conduct, namely, NJ RPC 1.8(a)(prohibited business transactions with clients), NJ RPC 1.15(a)(failure to safeguard client property), NJ RPC 8.1(b)(failure to cooperate with disciplinary authorities), and NJ RPC 8.4(c)(conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit or misrepresentation). The New Jersey Order of disbarment was also predicated on Respondent’s having failed to appear as ordered by the Court to show cause why he should not be disbarred or otherwise disciplined.
