On May 7, 1998, Respondent pled guilty in Circuit Court in Michigan to delivery of less than 50 grams of cocaine. Respondent’s criminal acts consisted of the use and social sharing of cocaine involving a group of business owners, attorneys, postal employees and a judge. He was indicted in 1996 on charges stemming from a use of cocaine at a New Years Eve party on January 1, 1992.
Respondent had rehabilitated himself before the charges were even entered and moved to Philadelphia in 1993 to absent himself from his former life.
Following a disciplinary hearing, a Private Reprimand was recommended. This is based on the amount of time that had passed between the incident and the indictment. |
